New Beginnings, Old Thoughts
It is exciting to see where RRSC is at the current time in the 3D world. The beginnings of the agency, including a preliminary team, a fantastic board, a new website, courtesy of Invoke Solutions, and our social media, all starting to light the fire of what we can accomplish. However, none of this comes into being without the power of our dreams.
If you look around the world today you can see a great deal of suffering that is related to the dreams, or better called nightmarish visions, of what people think the world can and should look like. Violence, concentration camps, abuse of the environment, pollution of the waters, burning forests, fracking, hatred of our fellow human beings, all these realities are the product of a series of dreams that people have about what the world should look like.
As I build this agency, it is my dream that it will be a force for change. There is an old belief in Buddhism that enlightenment for all beings is all of our responsibility, and that our individual actions are deeply significant. How you make your cup of tea, or how you step on a blade of grass can change the fate of the world. I actually believe this to be true, and some mathematical models, like chaos theory support it.
We need to dream stronger dreams than the people who are rushing towards Doomsday, apocalyptic visions of destruction that assume it is inevitable that this is the end of all good, and our salvation will descend from outside of our world. We need to take our future back from the hallucinations of the people who are convinced that war, poverty, and destruction are acceptable and necessary. We are all needed in this work and we all matter. It is my dream that RRSC can be part of this.
Jane Goodall has an amazing message that she left posthumously that resonated with me.
Let’s dream a stronger dream for a better future for future generations.
